3-Day Circuit: Food & Wine in Bordeaux Area

Here is a proposed 3-day Food & Wine circuit in Bordeaux, designed for clients to enjoy the rich wine and culinary culture of the region. The circuit includes visits to vineyards in the morning and afternoon, gourmet lunches at local restaurants, and accommodation in a 4 or 5-star hotel in central Bordeaux.

Schedule Details

DAY 1 - MEDOC WINE ROUTE

Morning:

  • Vineyard Visit: Château Pichon Baron and its historic cellars.
  • Activity: Guided tour of the vineyards and facilities, with a tasting of Grand Cru wines.

Lunch:

  • Restaurant: Gourmet lunch at Restaurant Maison d’Estournel, featuring a selection of dishes paired with regional wines.

Afternoon:

  • Vineyard Visit: Château Beychevelle.
  • Activity: Tour of the vineyards and cellar, followed by a tasting of some of the Médoc’s most iconic wines.

Evening:

  • Dinner in Bordeaux: Clients will have free time to explore the center of Bordeaux. A list of recommended restaurants, such as Le Gabriel, La Tupina, and Le Quatrième Mur, will be provided.
  • Accommodation: 4 or 5-star hotel in the center of Bordeaux.
DAY 2 - SAINT EMILION AND ITS GRAND WINES

Morning:

  • Vineyard Visit: Château Pavie.
  • Activity: Exclusive tour of the vineyard and cellar, with a tasting of their world-renowned wines.

Lunch:

  • Restaurant: Lunch at La Table de Pavie, a gourmet restaurant in the heart of Saint-Émilion, with local wine pairings.

Afternoon:

  • Vineyard Visit: Château Ausone.
  • Activity: Tour of the vineyards and a private tasting of their most select wines.

Evening:

  • Dinner in Bordeaux: Additional recommendations include Le Chapon Fin, Garopapilles, and Racines.
  • Accommodation: 4 or 5-star hotel in the center of Bordeaux.
DAY 3 - CHOICE BETWEEN COGNAC, SAUTERNES OR PESSAC LEOGNAN

Option 1: Cognac

  • Morning: Visit to Maison Hennessy in Cognac.
    • Activity: Distillery tour and tasting of their exclusive cognacs.
  • Lunch: At Les Foudres, a gastronomic restaurant in Cognac.
  • Afternoon: Visit to Maison Rémy Martin for a tasting and discovery experience.

Option 2: Sauternes

  • Morning: Visit to Château d’Yquem.
    • Activity: Private tour of the vineyard and tasting of the famous sweet wine.
  • Lunch: At La Chapelle, the restaurant at Château Guiraud, with dishes paired with Sauternes wines.
  • Afternoon: Visit to Château de Fargues for an exclusive tasting.

Option 3: Pessac-Léognan

  • Morning: Visit to Château Haut-Brion.
    • Activity: Tour and tasting of one of the region’s most prestigious wines.
  • Lunch: At La Grand’Vigne, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the area.
  • Afternoon: Visit to Château Carbonnieux, with a tour of its historic vineyards and a tasting.

Evening:

  • Dinner in Bordeaux: Final night to explore local flavors with previous recommendations.
  • Accommodation: 4 or 5-star hotel in the center of Bordeaux.

Additional Options:

  • Organized Dinners Upon Request: If clients wish to include dinners in the circuit, reservations can be made at some of the recommended restaurants or other gourmet venues in Bordeaux.

  • Tours are not available on Sundays in December, January & February

  • Chateaux reservations will be made once the booking is confirmed
