F.A.Q

What type of wine is Sauternes?

Sauternes, part of the Graves section of the Bordeaux vineyard, produces exquisite sweet white wines. Made from Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, and Sémillon grapes, Sauternes wines are renowned for their unique flavor profile, influenced by Botrytis Cinerea, or noble rot. This natural occurrence thrives in specific climate conditions found in the Sauternes area, enhancing the wines' sweetness and complexity. Sauternes wines pair beautifully with soft cheeses, blue cheeses, foie gras, and decadent desserts like ice cream and cheesecake.

What type of wine is Pessac-Léognan?

Pessac-Léognan wines share similarities with those from the Médoc region. These wines feature Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes in the red blends, delivering a delicate balance of power and refinement. The white wines combine Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, adding complexity, freshness, and intensity. Pessac-Léognan is home to prestigious Crus Classés of the Graves region, renowned for producing exceptional reds and dry whites.

What type of wine is Graves?

Graves is a captivating Bordeaux wine region where you can enjoy the three primary Bordeaux wine types: reds, whites, and sweet wines. Red wines are predominant, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, often with additions of Petit Verdot and Malbec. White wines from Graves are typically dry and blend Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes, offering crisp and harmonious flavors.

Can we visit Château d'Yquem?

Absolutely. Château d'Yquem welcomes visitors. You can add a visit to this prestigious winery as an extra during the booking process for private tours. Château d'Yquem offers three different tour options, allowing you to choose the experience that suits you best. Please note, we confirm your booking upon receiving confirmation from the winery, subject to availability.

Can we visit Château Haut Brion?

Unfortunately, Château Haut Brion is currently undergoing renovations until 2025 and is not accessible for visits. However, for private tours, we can arrange a visit to La Mission Haut Brion, situated just opposite Château Haut Brion. If you're interested in visiting La Mission Haut Brion, please contact us, and our travel advisors will assist you. Due to high demand, advance planning is recommended.
